SPLASH Northern Colorado

PFLAG Fort Collins/Northern Colorado encourages youth to attend the local youth support group, SPLASH. Currently, there are youth groups meeting in Fort Collins, Greeley/Evans, Loveland, Estes Park, and Windsor. For more information about their meetings, see Facebook Splash – Northern Colorado and their web page.

Most Saturdays in Fort Collins a PFLAG parent is present at the meeting location to facilitate conversations among parents while the youth meet in another room. The parent group is called Adult Swim!, and parents discuss the issues and challenges of parenting an LGBTQ child.

Transgender Youth Therapy Group

Transgender Youth Therapy Group offers a safe space for youth who identify as transgender to process their journey, questions, and experiences. The group meets on Wednesdays, 5-6PM at the Center for Family and Couple Therapy. The group serves youth ages 10-17 years old. For more information see cdn.fbsbx.com.

TYES of Colorado

TYES (Trans Youth Education and Support) is a support group for families with young transgender children. TYES has a public web site, a public Facebook page, a private Facebook page, and a network of parents willing to support each other.

Safe School Resources

PFLAG Fort Collins/Northern Colorado recognizes that support groups for youth and their parents are not sufficient. We also need to work with local school districts to help cultivate respect and provide a safe learning environment for all students. To that end, we have collected safe school resources and provide speakers and training when requested.
